We live for DIY projects that help make you look like the Suzie Homemaker that we know you are not!
We’re equally huge fans of this specific creation for it’s simplicity and innovation. And, we bet you can easily find most of these ingredients in your home.
1 large thick skinned orange Olive oil A lighter or book of matches….yep, that’s it.
Step 1: Cut a line around the circumference of the orange and carefully peel off the top, gently pulling the “natural wick” out from the middle. Do your best to keep this intact.
Step 2: Fill the hollow orange cup with olive oil.
Step 3: Light the wick and voila!… you have a 100% organic candle.
*If you want to enhance the citrus scent, add a couple of drops of homemade Lemon Verbena Oil.
Pro tip: If you have leftover peels, dry them out in the sun and then grind them to make a body scrub…Or pour boiling water over the peels, let them sit for a day, filter the water and then use that as a facial spray or toner.
